The handle grips are 30 mm bigger (total), 65 mm taller, and 35 mm closer to the rider than on the Z900, which helps to promote an upright riding stance.

A broad 35-degree steering angle makes low-speed maneuvering more accessible. The bar ends of the handlebar are rubber-mounted to reduce vibrations. The clutch and brake levers are each five-way adjustable, making them more comfortable for various hand sizes. The narrow back of the slim gasoline tank allows riders to grab the bike with their knees quickly. A wide variety of riders can set both feet firmly on the ground when stopped because of the low seat height and sleek overall design, which helps to simplify the reach to the ground.

The side covers’ emblems add to the vintage aesthetic. The knee grip covers are made of pressed aluminum and have a clear alunite coating for a durable and appealing appearance. They are placed forward on the side covers. The large-diameter LED headlight, combining current and vintage styles, emits a bright, white light ideal for night-time vision. Place bulbs such that the whole lamp seems lighted, like a headlight with a vintage bulb design, in the high-beam chambers.

The chromed headlight ring and convex lens enhance the vintage style. The Z1’s round mirrors are designed to complement the vintage aesthetic while maintaining the outstanding rear view.
