Known for its reliability, affordability, and versatility, the new Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle has attracted many riders who use their bikes for commuting, touring, or fun when the mood strikes. These popular motorcycles are well-balanced to provide a stress-free ride for short daily or long-distance adventures. They also have comfortable seats and a versatile engine character.

The Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle continues the family’s legacy of being a fun and sensible motorcycle to own and ride. The engine meets global emission regulations while delivering excellent performance and fuel efficiency. Low weight and a trim chassis are two more engineering achievements from Suzuki that result in an economical, manageable, and adaptable V-Strom 650.

Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle

With more adaptability and dependability than any other bike in its class, the Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle is an adventure bike with more than the sum of its parts. When you take the V-Strom for any off-road ride, you’ll find that it not only answers all your motorcycle-related questions but also has a lot of fun. The Pearl Vigor blue-coated fairing, adjustable windshield, vertically stacked headlamps, and trademark Suzuki DR-Big appearance offer real-world function and authentic adventure style.

The 645cc, 90-degree, liquid-cooled V-twin engine produces strong torque at low to mid-rpm and a powerful burst of power at higher rpm, making it perfect for any riding task. It is a beautiful motorbike. Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System (ATCS), Easy Start System, all-new Low RPM Assist function, and ABS technology are further enhanced.

A multifunctional, illumination-adjustable instrument panel helps the rider configure rider assist features and provides information. A clear and straightforward method. When it’s time to tour, integrated mount points on the firm and lightweight chassis allow you to quickly put the integrated Suzuki V-Strom equipment on and off while maintaining the bike’s trim.

Engine Features

The Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle 650’s DOHC, liquid-cooled engine, has been optimized to produce clean, mighty power at any rpm using the SV650 architecture. High mileage is made possible with SCEM-coated cylinders and low-friction resin-coated pistons, contributing to a class-leading touring range. Some fasteners, such as engine cover hardware, can be tightened with Torx or a traditional hex-style tool. To reduce weight, gain mass centralization, and make room for a smaller tail section (and optional equipment). A beautiful 2-in-1 exhaust system travels under the chassis.

The new exhaust system uses O2 feedback to the EFI system in conjunction with two catalysts to achieve maximum combustion efficiency and extremely low emissions. Suzuki’s unique SDTV (Suzuki Dual Throttle Valve) fuel injection system is used on 39mm throttle bodies. Each throttle body features ten-hole, long-nose fuel injectors that reduce fuel consumption while increasing fuel atomization for better combustion efficiency.

Throttle Body Integrated Idle Speed Control (TI-ISC), a Suzuki invention, helps reduce emissions by stabilizing the engine’s idle speed. The system is lightweight and compact. Suzuki’s Low RPM Assist function, available on the V-Strom 650’s TI-ISC, smoothly changes engine speed during take-off and low-speed riding to even out power distribution. It also reduces the likelihood that the rider will stall the motorcycle.

Improved settings for advanced engine management and revised intake and exhaust systems are provided by the Engine Control Module (ECM), which also offers linear throttle response and improved fuel economy. The engine features Dual Spark Technology heads, which increase power output and combustion efficiency by using two high-energy, thin-electrode spark plugs per cylinder.

Suzuki’s Advanced Traction Control System, available on the V-Strom 650, gives riders greater confidence by controlling the throttle in various riding conditions. If a wheelspin is detected, it continuously measures front and rear wheel speeds, engine speed, throttle opening, and selected transmission gear to modify engine output. Traction control modes consist of 1, 2, and off, the difference being how responsive each mode is to road conditions.

The lowest sensitivity setting, Mode 1, best suits experienced riders or when the road surface has a good grip (i.e., when riding on smooth, well-maintained roads). The highest sensitivity setting, Mode 2, is suitable for driving on surfaces with less grip, such as damp or cold. Selecting Off turns off all traction control functions.

The Suzuki Easy Start system, which enables the rider to start the bike with a quick push of the start button while the new transmission is in neutral, is another feature of this V-Strom. Ventilated plates on either side of the small radiator improve cooling effectiveness by moving heat away from the rider’s legs and through the side vents. With a tight first-to-fifth gear ratio and large top gear (sixth gear) for speedy ride and highway cruising, the six-speed transmission is ideal for spirited riding. A sealed O-ring drive chain is standard, with a long life and low maintenance.

Chassis Features

With its inner solid structure and vertically stacked headlights, the beak-style fairing enhances the V-Strom 650’s aerodynamics while protecting the rider stylishly like in Suzuki 2022 V-Strom 650. A wind tunnel test was carefully performed on a three-way height-adjustable windshield to reduce buffeting, wind noise, and rider fatigue. Despite its sizeable 5.3-gallon capacity, the fuel tank is designed to be narrower at the back so it flows into the seat, which is slimmer and helps the rider touch the ground when stopped.

Thanks to an upgraded interior structure and fuel tank cap, the 49-state and California models have the same gasoline capacity. The spacious two-up seat features smooth, non-slip surfaces and an engraved V-Strom logo. The swingarm’s twin-spar solid aluminum frame and lightweight design enhance excellent stability and smooth handling. A hand-operated spring preload adjuster and rebound damping adjustment are paired with a link-type rear suspension and spring preload adjustable 43mm front fork.

Lightweight, 10-spoke cast wheels are fitted with Adventure-spec Bridgestone Bitlex 19-inch front and 17-inch rear tubeless radial tires for good all-around performance. Controlled stopping force is provided by rear 260mm disc brakes and front twin 310mm disc brakes. The compact anti-lock brake system (ABS) tracks wheel speed and adjusts the brakes according to available traction. With its easy-to-grab hold bars and alignment with the passenger side of the seat, the lightweight resin luggage rack offers a large surface area for transporting bags or luggage.

Electrical Features

The multi-function instrument panel’s large-diameter analog tachometer, digital speedometer, and LCD data display are all equipped with brightness-adjustable LED illumination. The LCD readout includes the following: fuel consumption, fuel gauge, clock, coolant and ambient temperature, traction control modes, odometer, dual trip meter, and gear position. A switch on the left handlebar can be used to change between readings.

An air temperature monitor and LED indicators, including an ABS alert and freeze warning icon, alert drivers to the possibility of icy road conditions. The 10Ah maintenance-free battery is powered by a robust three-phase charging system for easy starting and powering additional devices. There is a dedicated accessory fuse under the seat.

As your journey extends into the night, the road is illuminated by stacked 65/55-watt halogen headlamps—vibration resistance and bright LED brake and tail light highlights. Turn signals feature bright amber incandescent bulbs with transparent lenses. A convenient 12-volt DC auxiliary outlet is installed in the interior dash.

Additional Features

Genuine Suzuki accessories include side and top cases, engine guards, heated grips, high—and low-profile seats, hand guards, and more. The Suzuki 2023 V-Strom 650 Adventure Motorcycle has three lock cylinders that match the motorcycle’s ignition key, allowing one key to operate if you purchase the Suzuki accessory plastic side or top cases.

Suzuki’s top cases and aluminum panniers include a strong lock and latch mechanism that requires a different type of key incompatible with a motorcycle’s ignition key. For details on installing accessories on the V-Strom 650, refer to the Suzuki Genuine Accessory Catalog. There are 12 months of limited coverage, including the extended warranty period and additional benefits that Suzuki Extended Protection (SEP) offers.
