Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS 2019 Cruisers – Features and Price

Kawasaki Vulcan 1700 Voyager ABS 2019 Cruisers

V-Twin Engine

SOHC engine with a long stroke and liquid cooling intended to provide a lot of torque. To handle more accessories, a liquid-cooled A/C generator lowers the temperature of its stator coils. Designing the engine with a semi-dry sump (KP) reduces the overall height while also keeping oil away from the crankshaft, leading to stirring loss and a loss of efficiency. Because oil is kept in the gearbox, a separate oil tank is not necessary. The use of three oil pumps (two scavenge pumps and one feed pump) aids in reducing stirring loss and ensuring optimal oil circulation.

It only has a water jacket over the upper quarter of its cylinders, but the cylinder heads’ polished-edge fins taper beautifully to the cylinder bases. When comparing high-performance forged pistons (KP), the former is smaller, lighter, stronger, and more heat resistant. Oil jets keep the pistons cold, which extends their life. Using KP engine balancers (KP) and rubber engine mounts (KP) helps isolate high-frequency vibration while giving the rider a core power-pulse sensation. The crankshaft has a single pin for the traditional V-twin growl and pulse. To preserve the drive system, a cam damper attached to the crankshaft’s end damps significant torque variations while enhancing the excellent torque pulse.

Digital Fuel Injection (KP)

The atomizing fuel injectors in the dual 42mm throttle bodies create a thin fuel mist to improve combustion and fuel economy.

Electronic Throttle Valve (ETV) (KP)

For the ECU to transmit a signal to the tiny motor that controls the throttle valves, the throttle pulley must be operating an acceleration position sensor (APS). In addition to making the throttle pull lighter, this also improves performance and fuel efficiency by providing more accurate throttle control. By utilizing a cable-operated APS, the rider may avoid damaging and replacing expensive switch housing electronics if their motorbike tips over on its right side.

Electronic Cruise Control

With the help of the ETV, it is possible to establish a speed limit between 30 and 85 mph when driving in third gear or higher. The right handlebar has convenient controls that are within easy reach with the thumb.

Kawasaki Air Management System (KAMS)(KP)

The KAMS (Kawasaki Air Management System) improves rider comfort while coming to a halt. Full-dress versions with leg shields, which have the rear cylinder and exhaust pipe nearly immediately beneath the rider and the rider’s legs, offer particular difficulties due to the increased risk of engine overheating.

As a result, the radiator heat is directed downward, while air is sucked away from the rear cylinder and exhaust pipe and directed to the motorcycle’s side, which is on the left side of the bike. Kawasaki is the first manufacturer to provide a well-designed air management system as standard equipment to assist keep the rider’s cockpit significantly more relaxed. This method stands out for many reasons. Efficient in hot weather while stopped in traffic or when operating at low speed for long periods, such as when staging group rides.

6-Speed Transmission

Overdrive At higher speeds, 6th gear lowers the engine’s revolutions per minute (rpm) and improves fuel economy. A gear position sensor interacts with the ECU to assist decrease fuel consumption and improving power delivery. At the same time, an indication on the speedometer lets the rider keep tabs on the situation.

Belt Drive

A lighter shaft drive means better ride quality and more responsive suspension. Carbon fiber belts are more robust than Kevlar belts, but they may be made much thinner than Kevlar belts. Efficient, resulting in more torque being sent to the rear wheels. Low noise and low upkeep handling at low speeds while yet maintaining excellent stability. Low-profile seating lowers the center of gravity, making it simpler to reach the floor.

Dual Air-Assisted Rear Shocks

To fit the load or the rider’s choice, air shocks provide a broad range of adjustability. A heavier trunk and saddlebags need different spring rates.

Triple Disc Brakes

Stopping power is provided by two 300mm front discs and one 300mm rear disc. K-ACT is Kawasaki’s advanced coactive braking system (KP). A.C.T.K. (Kawasaki Advanced Coactive-braking Technology) ABS is a brake system connected to the vehicle’s suspension and steering to distribute brake force optimally for safe and efficient braking. To improve overall braking performance no matter how strongly the front or rear brakes are pressed, an electronic system distributes brake force between them. K-ACT has an Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) to keep the wheels from locking up while braking hard and straight. K-ACT does not activate when braking is started at speeds below 12 mph for optimum controllability in tight bends or performing U-turns. At speeds under four mph, the ABS disengages.

Frame – Mounted Front Fairing

Large front and rear fairings and windshields assist keep the rider more relaxed and comfortable by blocking the wind. To keep the steering light, the fairing is bolted to the frame. The retro-style dashboard, which has a speedometer and digital music system in the 1960s, can be found within the fairing. Front engine guards with leg shields reduce the amount of wind that hits the rider’s legs. The quantity of air that reaches the legs may be adjusted by the rider thanks to the adjustable air intake.

Giant Saddlebags and Tail Trunk

The spacious trunk has adequate room for two full-face helmets and a comfortable backrest for the driver and front-seat passenger. To improve visibility to oncoming vehicles, LED brake and tail lights are mounted high on the trunk. Saddlebags with locks can hold a surprising amount of stuff for long-distance riding. Strong saddlebags and trunk locks protect riders’ belongings from prying eyes. Large, chrome-plated luggage protectors placed on the frame enhance the cruiser’s overall appearance.

Passenger Footboards

To provide optimum comfort when riding for an extended period.

Full Feature Audio System

When utilizing a Garmin Zumo 600/665 GPS, the navigation audio prompt enables the rider to hear voice prompting audio on the speakers (or Kawasaki Genuine Accessory Helmet Headsets). Accessories such as the Kawasaki Genuine Accessory GPS mount, adaptor kit, and GPS unit are available separately.) Standard equipment includes an AM/FM tuner and speakers placed on the front fairing. The left handlebar has convenient audio controls that are within easy reach with the rider’s thumb. The standard audio system includes iPod, XMTM, CB radio, and rear speaker attachments for easy expansion.

Classic Styling

When engaged, LED taillights offer excellent vision and have a chrome surround that adds a stylish touch.’60s-inspired design elements abound on this bike, from the tank to the seat, fenders, and saddlebags. Enhanced rider comfort and aesthetics are provided by adjustable front brake and clutch levers and master cylinders.

Electric Speedometer

The use of electricity results in significant weight and space savings. The front-wheel-drive unit and cable for a cleaner look. There is something retro about analog speedometers, especially those from the ’60s. The odometer, trip meter, clock, fuel range, and average mpg are all shown digitally. When using a gear position indicator, the rider can quickly see which gear the gearbox is engaged in.
