Based on the incredible Z H2, the new 2021 Kawasaki Z H2 SE Sports Bike maintains the best power and performance of the standard model. Still, it adds KECS (Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension) with Showa’s Skyhook technology, giving both flexibilities. Adjusts road conditions in real-time for a smooth ride (rider comfort) and strength (sport ride), Brembo Styloma front brake components, and more stopping power.
The 2021 Z H2 SE improves Kawasaki’s flagship model in the Z line of bare motorcycles by adding a smoother ride and more stopping power to the unique Z H2 package.

Suspension
KECS, Kawasaki’s semi-functional electronic suspension system, adapts to road and riding conditions in real-time, combining state-of-the-art electronic control technology with state-of-the-art mechanical components to provide the ideal damping. KECS balances the flexibility for daily travel with firm dumping to facilitate more sporty rides.
Skyhook EERA (electrically equipped ride adjustment) technology from Showa provides a smooth ride. Electronically controlled dumping is converted to match the speed of the vehicle and the speed of the suspension stroke.
The Z H2 SE has a sporty 43 mm SHOF SFF-CA (cartridge) fork and a high spec BFRC light rear shock with essential damping character set according to selected integrated riding mode (sport, road, rain, rider (manual)). The maximum damping is then provided by KECS, which adapts to the road surface environment in real time, considering vehicle speed, stroke speed, and slowness.
Brakes & Wheels
Also available on the Z H2 SE is a premium Brembo front brake package with Styloma monoblock calipers, Brembo front master cylinder, and steel braided lines, providing better braking performance and control. Styloma calipers are smaller, lighter, and have less volume around the piston and brake pads, which can provide an immediate response.
The Pirelli Diablo Rosso III tires are mounted on the front and rear of the 17-inch lightweight wheels. A 120 / 70ZR17 M / C 58W front tire and 190 / 55ZR17 M / C 75W rear tire are used.
Engine
The balanced supercharged engine on the Z H2 SE motorbike is the result of Kawasaki Group technology, developed not only by the motorcycle and engine company but also by the Aerospace Systems Company, Energy Systems, Plant Engineering Company, and corporate technology. Division Kawasaki has developed a supercharged engine that delivers tremendous horsepower while being manageable. The Z H2 SE’s water-cooled DOHC 4-valve parallel 4-cylinder 998cc supercharged engine is designed to provide robust performance throughout the range. Its broad power band produces low-mid-range torque, ideal for light handling, and all-out supercharged performance at the top. In the low to medium rpm range, shortening the second reduction ratio and adjusting the valve timing were used to create smooth velocity. The planetary gear train connected to the crankshaft drives the supercharger. The speed of the gear train impeller is 9.2 times the speed of the crank (1.15x step gear with 8x planetary gear).
Transmission
The Z H2 SE is equipped with a dog-color transmission developed in response to comments from the Kawasaki racing team and uses the ideal gear ratio for road performance. In this setting, the gears stay in position instead of shifting, and lightweight dog rings move to attach the bags. This design provides light and quick change effort, resulting in high speed.
Assist & Slipper Clutch
An assist and sleeper clutch, race-inspired technology that provides both a backtrack limiting function and a lighter feel to the lever, completes the transmission. Assist mode is indicated by a soft clutch lever bridge, which helps relieve riding fatigue, especially in stagnant and oncoming traffic.
When fast or unintentional downward shifts result in excessive engine braking, the sleeper function is activated. The sleeper cam attaches, separates the clutch hub and the operating plate, reduces the pressure on the clutch plates and helps prevent the rear tire from slipping and slipping.
Chassis
A carefully designed, lightweight trail structure provides exceptional control and light handling. The chassis offers superb mobility using the Z H2 SE engine’s tremendous supercharged power. The frame of the small nude model provides a good combination of flexibility and strength, which allows you to ride on different roads.
The high tensile steel frame features wheelbase and caster angle features that highlight the Z H2 SE’s agile, agile handling. The structure and suspension of the Z H2 SE operate efficiently within a range of speeds, setting the top riding position and center of gravity.
Styling
The shape of the flagship Z H2 SE of the Kawasaki Z series is inspired by the concept of Sugomi design and smooth bodywork for which the Z series is famous. Sugomi symbolizes the distinct radiance that emanates from creatures with unequal presence and power. The Z H2 SE distinguishes the Sogomi design with minimally crimped stains and the integration of the air intake duct on the left side of the vehicle body. Only the air intake duct and the under all are disproportionate. The rest of the design work is symmetrical, giving the Z H2 SE a balanced and aesthetically pleasing look.
Supercharged Intake
The centrifugal-type supercharger invented and manufactured by Kawasaki has great pumping capacity. The crankshaft drives planetary gear, which rotates a 69mm impeller specially designed for Kawasaki gas turbines and aerospace technology.
The supercharger is so efficient the compressed intake air is heated a bit, so no intercooler is needed. To help generate more power, the Ram Air Intake Duct sends fresh air to the supercharger as much as possible in a straight line.
Engine
Using the race technology developed for the Ninja® ZXTM-10R, winner of the Multimeter World Superbike Championship, the two-stage machining technique for the cylinder head produces the neck of the intake ports. The area around the valve seats is bored twice: once with the same line as the throat and then again for the valve seats. As a result, intake airflow is smoother, which reduces intake loss and improves efficiency.
The cam profiles are designed to meet the airflow requirements of a typical road ride, resulting in lower to mid-range performance and fuel savings. To improve low-to-mid-range efficiency and fuel efficiency, the intake and exhaust ports are combined with airflow.
Engine Sound Tuning
Sound analysis was performed to shape the intake duct, tune the operational sound of the supercharger, and tune the intake sound to create a sound specific to the Z H2.
Exhaust System
Long header pipes and chamber exhaust systems help increase low- and mid-range power. Using a small muffler can help you lose weight.
