Electronic Riding Modes

Change modes on the fly, from road to off-road to rider-programmable – and conquer the elements, the road, and everything nature throws at you.

The Tiger 800 series has three Riding Modes that enable the throttle mappings, ABS, and TTC to be adjusted to suit varied road conditions. The throttle mapping, ABS, and Triumph Traction Control are automatically configured when choosing either Road or Off-Road mode.

RIDER MODE enables you to customize these parameters on your own to fit your riding style. The throttle maps in Rider Mode may be changed between Rain, Road, Sport, and Off-Road settings.

Traction Control

Every Tiger 800 comes equipped with Triumph Traction Control, a first-in-class innovation that stops the rear wheel from spinning unexpectedly and reduces engine torque to minimize lateral grip loss.

Advanced Traction Control is available on the XCX/XCA and XRX/XRT, with three settings:

1. ROAD: Designed for usage on the road with a bit of rear-wheel slide.

2. OFF-ROAD: Increased rear wheel slip is possible.

3. OFF: Turns off the traction control.

Fuel Efficiency

The new Tiger 800 features a 17 percent increase in fuel economy, which, when combined with the large 19-liter fuel tank, means you can ride for longer.
