Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS 2018 Sports Bike – Specifications
Engine
Designed to deliver robust and responsive power for performance that drives everyday driving and inspires confidence in new riders, but is keen enough for sporty driving. It has a 649cc double cylinder engine, DOHC engine, which is better than the 2018 Kawasaki Ninja 400 ABS KRT Sports Bike, which has a 399cc engine. Camshaft profiles are optimized for fast response and performance. The slim shape of the intake port also helps improve engine response and execution. The design of the air box with one large entrance contributes to the feeling of power. The exhaust system has a short collector, and the internal construction of the elegant silencer improves power delivery.
The muffler is mounted under the engine to help lower the center of gravity and support the weight centralization. Kawasaki Air Handler (KP) Radiator Fan Cover Helps Direct Hot Air from Engine on the ground and away from the rider. The compact parallel-twin engine reduces the size of the entire bike to keep it small and agile. It has 180-degree crankshaft plus balancer shaft for extremely smooth engine operation. The triangular arrangement of cranks and cylinders makes the engine very short from front to rear. A semi-dry sump oil system (KP) reduces the overall engine height, while the narrow pitch of the engine Chromium Composite-clad aluminum (KP) cylinders help reduce the width of the engine.
Fuel injection settings provide a smooth low response while contributing to engine operation. The diameter of the throttle body is reduced from 38mm to 36mm and uses fine spray nozzles to further improve the engine response and power in the medium to low ranges. Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS 2018 Sports Bike throttle bodies feature secondary butterfly valves (KP) for optimum performance and handling. The sub-butterflies, located behind the primary butterflies, are controlled by the computer so that the EFI system has a more precise throttle response, similar to a constant-speed carburetor. Accurate fuel injection combined with an exhaust catalyst, significantly reduces emissions. The automatic fast idle system makes starting and preheating easier.
Chassis
Smooth Back-Link progressive suspension system similar to Ninja ZX -10R optimizes balance, sporty potential, and driving comfort. The link is placed on the swingarm and allows room for the engine muffler to better mass centralization. The rear shock is further away from the exhaust so that its operation is not affected by the exhaust gases. The Seagull Swingarm uses a hollow press construction to keep it light.
The triple upper gripper has excellent reinforcing ribs on the top surface to enhance appearance. Nissin brake calipers offer superb braking and control and give a sporty image. Front brake calipers grip two 300mm petal discs and have large 27mm pistons for unique braking sensation. Petal design provides excellent resistance to cooling and deformation.
An anti-lock braking system (ABS) helps to break under certain conditions. The Bosch 9.1M control unit offers precise electronic management and is compact to save space and weight. The sporty design of the five-spoke wheel has a light and agile appearance. Fitted with Dunlop Sportmax D214 silica-blend tires for optimal and superior performance fuel consumption.
Separate clip-on style handlebars at the top of the triple top tether are slightly positioned forward for an aggressive sporting driving position. However, the location of the legs is opened by place the footrests down and forward to maintain comfort. The seat is low and slender at the front to allow the pilot to place both feet on the ground at a stop. The fuel tank is placed low on the chassis, and its slender design further facilitates vehicle reach. The land for extra rider confidence. A resin tank cap eliminates the presence of mounting bolts for an elegant design.
The Kawasaki Ninja 650 ABS 2018 Sports Bike dashboard features an easy-to-read analog tachometer and LCD multifunction meter. There is a position indicator and a speed indicator, while the tachometer hand completes the rising light, changing the colors in three steps as the chosen change point approaches. The LCD screen also contains the speedometer, odometer and trip meter, coolant temperature, level, fuel range, and average/instant fuel consumption, plus an indicator of economical driving (KP), which is displayed when the fuel consumption is the most favorable. 5-way adjustable brake and clutch levers are compatible with various hand sizes, comfort, and control.
Ergonomics
The body evokes a strong image of super sports Ninja, in line with the Ninja® ZX â„¢ centered on the track -6R and ZX-10R. Chin spoilers under the flashing headlights make the front cover very close to that of the Ninja ZX-10R. Windshield design further enhances Ninja’s overall image and features three positions Adjustability with a whole range of nearly 2.5 inches. The fairing has large openings to maximize airflow and reduce engine heat. The design of the front fender and the compact tailgate, raised, contribute to an aggressive image. The LED taillight lights up in an X shape.
