The design of the 2024 Honda CBR500R Sports Motorcycle is influenced by Honda’s racing heritage, especially the Fireblade. The bodywork follows “The Shape Of Speed,” with sharp lines and aggressive styling that emphasise its sporty nature. The integrated winglets add both looks and function. They help direct airflow, improve stability, and enhance front-end feedback.
Dual LED headlights, which provide improved visibility and a wider light spread, increase safety during night riding and cornering. The overall design is complemented by a matching LED taillight, rounding out the fully-LED lighting system.

A major highlight is the new 5-inch TFT display, which uses optical bonding technology to improve visibility in bright conditions. By reducing glare and enhancing light transmission, the screen remains clear even under sunlight. It offers multiple display layouts and supports smartphone connectivity through Honda RoadSync. Riders can access navigation, calls, and music using a Bluetooth-enabled helmet system, controlled through a simple four-way switch on the handlebars.
The seat height of 785 mm makes the bike accessible and easy to handle for riders of different heights. Its overall dimensions are 2080 mm in length, 760 mm in width, and 1145 mm in height. The ground clearance is 130 mm. The fuel tank capacity is 17.1 litres. Combined with a fuel efficiency of approximately 28.6 km/l, it offers a riding range of over 485 km.
Chassis
The chassis of the 2024 Honda CBR500R Sports Motorcycle remains lightweight and strong, built around a 35 mm steel diamond-tube frame that provides a balanced level of flexibility and rigidity. This design ensures good road feedback while minimising vibrations.
The riding position is sporty and slightly aggressive, with clip-on handlebars positioned below the top yoke and lightweight aluminium footpegs. The motorcycle has an outstanding wheelbase of 1410 mm, with rake and trail figures of 25.5 degrees and 102 mm, respectively, and a near-even weight distribution. For 2024, the bike includes Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). This feature enhances traction and rider confidence by monitoring wheel speeds and adjusting power delivery when it detects slip. Riders can also switch the system off if needed.
The fuel injection system is optimised to deliver smooth, linear power and improve acceleration at lower RPMs. The exhaust system features dual outlets that produce a sporty, distinctive sound, especially at higher revs.
The engine design features a 67 mm bore and a 66.8 mm stroke, with a compression ratio of 10.7:1. It uses a 180-degree crankshaft and a balance shaft to reduce vibrations. Roller rocker arms and treated cam chains reduce friction and improve durability.
