Engine

The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle has a revised version of the 937cc Ducati Testastretta 11-degree twin-cylinder engine. The engine efficiently delivers a peak output of 114hp at 9,000 rpm and a flat torque curve of 9.8 kgm at 7,250 rpm. It fully complies with the strict Euro-5 emission standards.

It has pistons with compression ratios 13.3:1 (compared to 12.6:1 of the 2023 Ducati Hypermotard 950 model), an exhaust cam profile, and an all-new exhaust system with silencers mounted under the seat. The engine features a throttle body with a 53mm bore, and the Ride-by-Wire throttle control system controls it. The twin-cylinder engine also sports light clutch and generator covers, aluminum belt tensioners, a light selector drum, and an all-new magnesium head cover.

Gearbox and Clutch

The 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle’s engine has a wet clutch with self-serve action and an anti-hop function. With an adjustable lever, its brand-new hydraulic control system helps reduce lever effort.

2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle

The new gearbox sports the Ducati Quick Shift EVO system (DQS EVO) with an up/down function fine-tuned for the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle. It features lean angle information to maximize stability during shift changes in covers. Besides reducing shift times, the DQS EVO enables downshifts without the clutch, guaranteeing even more effective braking into corners. The system acts variously for downshifts and upshifts, supplementing the advance firing and new injection action during upshifts, including the controlled throttle opening for downshifts, thanks to the complete Ride-by-Wire system.

The gearbox has been revised to make it easy to engage neutral when the motorcycle is stationary and guarantee greater precision in gear selection.

The system envisages that the new gearshift drum rotates on bearings, guaranteeing movement with reduced friction. Additionally, the gear lever spring is loaded more efficiently to prevent the system from remaining idle in the intermediate positions, thus resulting in greater precision.

Unit (6D IMU)

The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle features modern and highly advanced electronics based on Bosch 6-axis inertial platform, which detects the bike roll, yaw, and pitch angle in space.

The 6-axis Inertial Measurement Unit (6D IMU) electronic package includes;

  • Bosch Cornering ABS EVO (including Slide by Brake Function
  • Ducati Traction Control (DTC) EVO
  • Ducati Wheelie Control (DWC) EVO

Riding Mode

The control system’s operating parameters are associated by default, including the three unique electronic setups or Riding Modes available on the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950. Riders can customize their riding styles and restore the parameters set by Ducati.

2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle

The Sport Riding Mode is best for sports-style riding on winding roads or race tracks. The performance-oriented electronic setup efficiently delivers the Ducati twin-cylinder engine’s peak power of 114 hp.

The Touring Riding Mode is extremely ideal for in-town and out-of-town riding and for those who prefer a neat and smooth ride. The 114 hp Ducati twin is delivered using a more safety-oriented electronic setup.

The Urban Riding Mode is designed for daily use in city traffic and under poor grip conditions, such as rain. This is why the twin-cylinder Testastretta delivers a limited power output of 75 hp, and its electronic settings are all oriented towards more excellent safety.

Instrumentation

The instrumentation of the new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle family features a 4.3-inch TFT display. Graphics are similar to the famous Ducati Panigale V4 and provide user-friendly menu navigation and setting adjustments. Each Riding Model is assigned a specific color for easy reference. The Riding Mode setting interface offers a clear-cut, comprehensible overview of current alterations to the settings, including explanatory images of the system being set up and a graduated scale that indicates whether a change is more performance—or safety/ stability-oriented.

Headlights and Indicators

The front light unit has a lightweight, very compact design and features a headlight with a Daytime Running Light (DRL), guaranteeing greater visibility even during the day. The rear end features an all-new LED strip that doubles as a rear and stop light. The front LED turn indicators are integrated into the handguards to maintain the Hypermotard 950’s neat lines.

ABS Bosch Cornering

To guarantee higher braking performance, combined with excellent safety, an all-new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle is equipped with an ABS Bosch cornering system with three levels of adjustment.

Level 3 is highly recommended for everyday use on the road or in poor grip conditions. Its rear wheel lift is controlled under harsh braking, ensuring safe and stable braking under all conditions.

Level 2 always manages both the rear and the front braking systems but enables more aggressive braking with softer lift-up control. It offers excellent safety under braking, even in wet conditions.

Level 1 introduces racing-like intervention logic for the cornering system up front and executes the Slide by Brake function at the rear end. This function enables sliding into corners using the rear brake safety to achieve the ultimate performance in sports riding. In Level 1, the rear lift-up system is disabled.

Frame

The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle has a steel trellis frame with variable-section tubes that weigh 2.2 lbs less than the previous model. The motorcycle offers a 25-degree steering head angle, 104mm trail, and 30mm offset, which enable stable and safe control without compromising the bike’s typical agility.

The frame is connected with the rear subframe and has a street trellis frame derived from the first Hypermotard. The wide steering angle of 70 degrees allows excellent handling, while the 1,493mm wheelbase enables excellent stability at high speeds. The fuel tank with 14.5 liters of fuel capacity lends the 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle a superb range. The motorcycle features a single-sided aluminum swingarm.

Suspension

The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle comes with a Marzocchi fork with fully adjustable 45mm aluminum tubes and stanchions and 170mm wheel travel, which shaved 500 grams compared to the unit installed on the previous 2023 Ducati Hypermotard 950 model.

The new 2024 Ducati Hypermotard 950 Adventure Motorcycle sports an adjustable Sachs shock absorber at the rear end and 150 mm of wheel travel.

Brakes

The front braking system contains two monoblocs radially fixed 4-piston Brembo M4.32 calipers activated by a radial brake master cylinder, which includes an adjustable 5-position lever.

Aluminum flanges were used on the discs. The r on the front endear has a 245 mm diameter disc gripped by a solo Brembo caliper. These components guarantee the best braking performance that sets a high standard for the industry, a characteristic that has always been common for all Ducati motorcycles.
