Highlights for high performers
Ahead lies your next adventure, brightly lit by the signature LED matrix headlamp. Behind you are the milestones you’ve already passed. The short Monocoque rear section allows for extensive customisation. There’s no mistaking it — this is BMW’s ultimate adventure bike.
Reach the next level
Every element is focused on enhancing your comfort. The advanced Telelever bearing ensures superior handling. The GS Flyline’s flat tank-seat profile offers effortless movement, relaxed positioning, and agile manoeuvrability. Wide ergonomic options give riders of all types confidence on any surface. Everything you need is visible with the optional Riding Assistant’s environmental sensors.
The new 2024 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Motorcycle represents the “Next level GS,” featuring a redesigned boxer engine, upgraded suspension, reduced weight, and improved all-around capability.
BMW Motorrad pioneered the touring enduro class over 40 years ago with the R 80 G/S and has dominated it ever since. To maintain leadership, the new 2024 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Motorcycle has been almost completely redesigned, shedding 12 kilograms compared to its predecessor.
At its heart lies the legendary two-cylinder boxer engine. More compact than ever, thanks to a gearbox beneath the engine and a revised camshaft drive, its 1,300 cc displacement generates 107 kW (145 hp) at 7,750rpm and a maximum torque of 149 Nm at 6,500 rpm — making it the most powerful BMW boxer engine ever built for mass production.

The previous layout is replaced by a steel sheet-metal main frame with increased stiffness, offering more efficient packaging. A die-cast aluminium rear frame replaces the older tubular design. The new EVO Telelever front suspension with a flex element and revised EVO Paralever rear suspension provide better steering precision and stability.
The new optional Dynamic Suspension Adjustment (DSA) electronically adapts damping and spring stiffness to match riding modes, terrain, and manoeuvres while automatically compensating for load. Building on the proven Dynamic ESA system, DSA delivers superior comfort, safety, and performance whether you ride solo, with a passenger, or with full luggage.
Two additional factory options, adaptive vehicle height control and a sport suspension, are paired with DSA. Adaptive height control automatically adjusts ride height to conditions for maximum comfort and lean freedom. The sport suspension adds 20 mm of travel front and rear with a firmer setup tailored to off-road riders.
Lighting is equally advanced. A compact full-LED headlamp with a new signature icon comes standard, offering unmatched road illumination. The lighting system includes dual LEDs for low and high beams, plus four additional LEDs for daytime running and side lights—integrated LED indicators in the handguards and rear ensure high visibility. With the optional Headlight Pro, the beam follows your lean angle to light the road precisely where you’re headed.
The new 2024 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Motorcycle arrives in a refined base model and three exclusive trims: TripleBlack, GS Trophy, and Option 719 Tramuntana.
The updated 2024 BMW R 1300 GS Adventure Motorcycle design maintains its heritage flyline while achieving a lighter, more compact look. Its aluminium tank features a flatter contour, creating a dynamic and accessible profile with textured centre detailing.
The base model, finished in Lightwhite with clean lines, embodies functional simplicity with muscular boxer styling. TripleBlack, a long-standing favourite, gives the GS a bold, premium character. GS Trophy uses Racingblue metallic paint with red and white highlights and a white rear frame for a sporty off-road aesthetic. Option 719 Tramuntana combines Aurelius Green metallic paint, gold cross-spoke wheels, and milled aluminium components for a refined, high-tech appearance.
