As the entry-level enduro weapon in the XC-W Arsenal, the 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike is no afterthought. It brings the same improvements as the other 2024 KTM XC-W models, including an all-new frame, a closed cartridge exchange, and a new body. The all-new TBI filling system packs enough punch to hold its own against the big boys.

2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike – Features and Specs
Adjustability
Having READY TO RACE has never been easier. At both ends of the 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike, the all-new suspension is fully tool-free. The rear features an all-new shock absorber design with hand-adjustable Dual Compression Control, letting riders set -high- and low-speed settings in seconds. The front forks are also easy to adapt, thanks to hand-adjustable clickers at the bottom of the fork shoe and on the fork cap, letting riders adjust settings on the fly without tools.
Air filter box
For maximum airflow with minimal water penetration, the new air filter box features precisely placed inlet ducts to prevent air distortion and protect the filter. An enduro-specific splash protector under the new airbox prevents dirt or muddy water from splashing up from the rear wheel. At the same time, the Twin Air filter and air filter support design includes a simple, fail-proof mounting system for safe, accurate filter installation, ensuring easy, tool-free access for fast trackside maintenance.

Fuel Tank
The transparent (XPE) fuel tank is a signature element of the KTM Enduro lineup. You can monitor your fuel level at a glance. Years of development have made it the strongest and most reliable fuel tank. For 2024, the fuel system is improved with a single-part fuel pump and a filter, allowing you to evacuate the tank at low fuel levels. With 9 litres of fuel available, you can hit the trail or track with confidence.
Switchgear
The KTM Enduro range includes new, simple-to-use switchgear for 2024. You will find a new start/stop switch on the right side of the handlebar. On the left, a new optional Map Select button lets drivers choose between Map 1 and Map 2.

Engine
For its size, the 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike packs a stunning power plant in its class. With many parts rearranged, modified, or developed from the ground up, the new 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike boasts an impressive 36.7 hp. It weighs just 18.8 kg, setting the benchmark for youngsters, beginners, and experienced enduro riders looking for an ultra-lightweight, agile 2-stroke off-roader.

Throttle Body Injection
Forget TPI; the 2024 KTM 2-stroke Enduro models feature entirely new electronically controlled Throttle Body Injection, or TBI. The ECU, together with a new Keihin 39mm throttle body, calculates the ideal air-fuel mixture by constantly analysing water temperature, air temperature, environmental pressure, crankcase pressure, speed, and throttle position to ensure the smoothest, most consistent power output in demanding enduro conditions.
Powervalve
For 2024, the reed valve case received an important design update for the electronic exhaust system. New plastic valves in the outer reed valve case improve sealing across the intake tract and prevent excess fuelling in extreme uphill or downhill sections, which could otherwise require extensive engine adjustments.
Offroad Control Unit
Under the seat, a brand-new Offroad Control Unit, or OCU, replaces all electronic fuses and relays. Depending on the voltage regulator and ECU signals, the unit continuously switches all outputs. The outputs are deactivated separately by means of an overhead current. Each output signal has a red or green LED, making error detection simple. Diagnosing an electrical problem on the trail is as simple as a seat lift, and you no longer have to carry fiddly fuses like in 2023 KTM 150 XC-W.
Selectable Engine Maps
Designed for easy operation, a newly developed map-select switch is available as an optional extra for all KTM XC-W models and offers a simple choice of 2 unique engine maps. Map 1 is the default, more linear, and predictable power map, while Map 2 is more aggressive, with a more responsive throttle and more cracking, explosive energy.
Battery & Wiring Harness
The 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike has a proven, reliable electric start system, as does the rest of the 2024 2-stroke XC-W range. Powered by an all-new ultra-lightweight 2 Ah lithium-ion starter battery, it offers a safe, reliable start time after time. The wiring harness also places most electrical components under the seat for easy access.

Ergonomics
The new 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike features a rider-focused body-position triangle that improves knee contact, especially when standing on the pegs, along with improved grip surfaces throughout. The plastics push mud out under wet, muddy conditions, and the flat seat profile and high handle cover provide extraordinary rider movement and control. A polyamide-reinforced aluminium sub-frame that offers an unprecedented riding experience and feedback; your only requirement is to navigate the terrain before you.
Exhaust
Bringing the Braaap! Thanks to the new, more compact engine design, the 2024 KTM 150 dirt bike’s top tube is designed to increase ground clearance and reduce the risk of damage from deep roots, rods or steep rocks. The silencer is made of lightweight aluminium and finished in a stylish black coating that accentuates its premium quality.
Frame
The new 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike was specially designed for longitudinal rigidity, featuring a brand-new powder-coated frame with exceptional rider feedback, energy absorption, and high-speed stability. We achieved this by repositioning the rotating masses within the frame and adding a forged steering head connection. New parallel frames also improve flex properties, and we added footrest mounts while downsizing. And when the trip ends, a completely renewed forged one-side stand makes your Enduro weapon proud.
Subframe
A new ultra-light subframe extends the line to the rear of the main frame, with a 2-part polyamide and reinforced aluminium structure. Computational dynamics informed the subframe’s specific rigidity to deliver excellent handling and rider feedback. The new subframe is shorter, more compact, and more robust than the previous generation, and it can bend and flex in a crash rather than break. The subframe integrates electronic components completely without any additional mounting, brackets, or unnecessary mounting systems.
WP XACT Closed-cartridge Fork
The new 48 mm WP XACT Closed Cartridge suspension fork is part of KTM’s 2024 Enduro line. With fast, optimised, consistent damping oil flow and a new hydro stop for the last 68 mm of the stroke, the forks deliver unbeatable performance at every level. New fork-proof rings offer better protection from dirt deposits. Best of all, the new fork lets you adjust compression and rebound without tools.
WP XACT Shock
It continues to feature KTM Enduro weaponry, and the updated PDS rear shock concept adds a new shock bracket that greatly enhances the chassis’s anti-squat behaviour. It remains the most reliable and maintenance-friendly option for competitive enduro racing. The all-new WP XPLOR PDS rear shock takes charge of the rear and weighs 380 g less than its predecessor. It features a new compact design, new bearing seals, and a new main piston for optimised oil flow and more consistent damping, plus stability thanks to easy-to-use clickers for emergency adjustments.
Wheels and Tires
The new 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike rolls on GIANT alloy high-strength wheels, paired with CNC-milled hubs and aluminium nipples. These are wrapped in a Dunlop MX33 front and a Dunlop AT 81 rear, offering extraordinary traction under all conditions.
Stability
The new 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike remains rock solid at every speed, with a newly installed and forged steering head connection and CNC-milled triple clamps. The high-grade aluminium components maximise steering rigidity, optimise fork-pipe positioning, and deliver precise fork-clamp geometry for a highly sensitive, smooth fork action, plus insane stability on ultra-fast flat special stages. Newly designed, topology-optimised rubber mounts improve grip and reduce handlebar twist. They feature fixed mounting, providing the perfect flexibility for the forged triple-clamp setup.
Energy Absorption
Beyond the highly finished, hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robotically welded frame designed for outstanding driver feedback and straight-line stability, several components make the frame act as a “shock absorber” for less hard driving, reducing driver fatigue on tough laps. A new shock assembly, no longer fixed to the main tube, considerably strengthens the chassis’s anti-squat.
By contrast, a new, service-friendly one-piece steering head seal offers increased reliability. The closed-head tube design also features new fuel overflow routing. Finally, a new forged one-piece side stand means no sinking feelings during parking.
LED headlight
Illuminating the way forward, the 2024 KTM 150 XC-W Dirt Bike features an all-new LED headlight unit and light mask. The mask itself features improved triple clamp protection against Roost and eliminates rubber mounting straps for a better fit. The lighting unit delivers 300% more light, making night riding an entirely new experience.
