All three models feature significant upgrades, offering a new powertrain and more standard equipment than ever before. The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle showcases numerous innovations that improve off-road capability while cutting 14 kg from its weight compared to its predecessor, making it one of the sportiest F Series models to date.
Drive with an advanced 2-cylinder in-line engine with greater capacity
The new 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS use the advanced 2-cylinder in-line engine first introduced in 2018 on the BMW F 850 GS. Increased displacement to 895 cc (up from 853 cc) delivers greater performance and responsiveness.

With a 270/450-degree firing interval, the engine produces an emotional, engaging exhaust note. The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle and F 900 GS Adventure generate 77 kW (105 hp), while the F 800 GS delivers 64 kW (87 hp). Each engine gains an additional 10 hp, a fuller torque curve, improved pulling power, and quicker acceleration.
Riding Modes
All new GS models in the F Series come standard with two ride modes—“Rain” and “Road”—as well as Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), cornering-optimised ABS Pro, and a dynamic brake light. Riders can add “Riding Modes Pro” from the factory to unlock advanced settings, including additional ride modes, mode pre-selection, engine drag torque control, and Dynamic Brake Control (DBC), enhancing versatility and performance across all terrains.

Significantly lighter plastic fuel tank and rear section
The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle, F 900 GS Adventure, and F 800 GS share a robust bridge-type steel frame that integrates the twin-cylinder engine as a load-bearing element. The all-new 14.5-litre plastic fuel tank in the F 900 GS saves 4.5 kg compared to the previous steel version.

A redesigned rear section gives the bike a sleeker, more aggressive look while shedding another 2.4 kg. The Akrapovič rear silencer trims an additional 1.7 kg. The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle and F 900 GS Adventure use new, fully adjustable Showa upside-down forks for enhanced control and precision.
New Enduro Pro package
Riders can enhance the 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle with the optional Enduro Pro package, featuring fully adjustable titanium nitride-coated upside-down forks, an adjustable central spring strut, handlebar risers, and an M Endurance chain. For the F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS, BMW offers Dynamic ESA (Electronic Suspension Adjustment) for optimised comfort and handling on any surface.

Ergonomics optimized
Improved off-road ergonomics define the new 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle, with an optimised triangle between the handlebars, seat, and footpegs. Lower footrests, a higher handlebar position, and a redesigned fuel tank make riding while standing on rough terrain easier and more stable.
All models feature a standard adjustable gearshift lever with improved bearings and mechanics for smoother shifting. The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle also benefits from a raised foot brake lever for better accessibility.

New LED headlight
The new 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle has a redesigned LED headlight that offers a broader low-beam angle for improved visibility. The F 900 GS Adventure and F 800 GS are also equipped with LED headlights, which are standard. All three models feature LED turn signals and control lights, ensuring modern illumination.
Connectivity
Every new GS model in the F Series now includes a 6.5-inch TFT display as standard. This is a significant step forward for the F 800 GS, which previously had an analogue display. The new TFT provides crisp graphics, intuitive controls, and full connectivity—allowing you to make calls, play music, and navigate effortlessly.
The 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle includes a 12 mm mount for action cameras or devices. With the “navigation preparation” option, riders can install the BMW Motorrad Connected Ride Navigator or Connected Ride Cradle.
New body dimensions, clear design and colour scheme
The redesigned 2024 BMW F 800 GS Adventure Motorcycle exudes sporty off-road character and a dynamic aesthetic, further emphasised by its 14 kg weight reduction. The reshaped plastic fuel tank enables a slimmer, more ergonomic profile, with only a 0.5-litre capacity reduction compared to before. New side panels and radiator trims add to the sleek, athletic styling.
