The new Road Glide 3 Trike has the famous shark fairing affixed to the frame, which serves numerous purposes. The fairing not only shields the rider from the elements at high speeds but also contains a Boom! Box GTS audio system.
The Freewheeler is transformed into a road-worthy tricycle with the Boom! Box GTS system. GPS, AM/FM, weather radio stations, music, and phone integration through Bluetooth are all accessible on the 6.5-inch touchscreen. Apple Car Play is a welcome addition for iPhone owners. If you’d rather keep both hands on the grip than use the touchscreen, hand controls are also located there.
The ’23 Road Glide 3 Trike features a built-in trunk but lacks the top box of the Tri Glide Ultra. Long-distance tour riders who like the trike’s streamlined design may be disappointed to learn that there is no backrest. The floorboards provide a soft landing for your feet after a long day of walking.
A Milwaukee-Eight 114 provides the necessary propulsion. It uses both air and oil cooling, with a neat oil cooler tucked in between the front downtube of the frame. In comparison, the Tri Glide Ultra has a Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight 114. The 118 ft-lbs of torque produced by the V-twin engine should come in handy on the Road Glide 3.
