2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R ABS Sports Motorcycle – Features and Specs

Unique Key Features

  • The 636cc engine with more significant displacement provides more usable power and torque
  • Power mode enables quick adjustment for rider preferences and conditions.
  • Advanced Kawasaki Traction Control (KTRC) for better performance.
  • Separate Function Fork of Shaw Big Piston for an excellent ride on the road and track
  • Kawasaki Intelligence Anti-Lock Brake System (KIBS) is available

636cc Ultra-Compact, Low-Friction Engine

At all RPMs, the engine performs better than 600cc engines, especially in the low-to-mid-range, for the best and most comfortable ride on city roads.

To stop friction from returning to power, all internal elements are designed to be solid but small, including excellent dimensional accuracy.

A small, rigid engine delivers close cylinder pitch and compact crankcases. This small engine also contributes to the overall thinness and compactness of the chassis.

For speed, the short skirt’s fake piston, light piston pin, and a compact connecting rod with a tiny tip help to reduce the weight.

Ram Air Induction (KP)

High-volume airbox aid increased peak power and smooth power transmission. Long intake funnels help in enhancing low to mid-range performance and a sense of strength. To reduce the bracket and reduce weight, the RAM air duct is firm and supports the tool panel, and the mirror stays. The central ram air duct directs the air to the airbox in a straight channel, decreasing turbulence and growing pressure for maximum utilization efficiency.

Digital Fuel Injection (KP)

Long throttle bodies increase the throttle response by swelling the distance between the primary and sub-throttle valves.

The new Dual throttle valves (KP) featuring 38mm Keihin throttle bodies provide outstanding performance and riding. The ECU controls the sub-throttle, positioned in the throttle bore before the new central throttle valves, to offer the DFI system a more accurate throttle response than a constant-speed carburetor.

The quantity of fine atomizing fuel injectors has been enlarged, and the spray pattern has been changed to recover mixing with air for increased displacement.

Stainless Steel Exhaust

The joint pipe attaches the four stainless steel header pipes to extremely low to medium-range torque. The exhaust system aids in increasing the power of low and medium ranges without losing the performance of the top end. A pre-chamber under the engine aids in distributing weight, reducing exhaust noise, and reducing muffler capacity.

A muffler on the right helps decrease the total center of gravity and allows for superior concentration. The triangular shape allows for a sharp, lean angle and close look while meeting the noise guidelines.

Kawasaki Quick Shifter (KQS)

Rapid shifter with a contactless potentiometer, which allows quick upshift and smooth acceleration.

When the shift lever is activated, the system sends a unique signal to the ECU to cut off the ignition, allowing the next gear to be applied without attaching the clutch. (Down shift is best done using the grip.)

Rider-Responsive Chassis

They were designed to work with the suspension to provide a controlled, pleasant ride on city streets and highways while allowing exceptional cornering capabilities and fast lap times on the race track.

The frame and swing arm of the Ninja ZX-6R was designed with the perfect balance of rigidity in mind, so it provides a quick and accurate response to rider directions and excellent riding input.

Aluminum Perimeter Frame (KP)

For optimal handling, the rigidity of the balanced rigid frame has been improved to help prevent the chassis from being thrown off the road or track. The structure, combined with the suspension, helps give more ground ride and absorbs impact without interfering with control.

Fast handling and extra input from front tires, thanks to a 23.5-degree rack angle. The engine mount was designed to allow more accurate turning and less effort when bending.

Big Piston Separate Function Inverted Fork (KP)

Thanks to an all-new spring in both legs, the new preload and damping duty are divided into right and left fork tubes. The preload is adjusted to its left, while compression and rebound damping are modified to the right. For easy access, all adjustments are mounted at the top of the screw fork.

To increase performance during hard brakes, 37mm pistons form a strong wetting force.

Suspension settings are suitable for turning roads and city rides while maintaining strong track performance.

Uni-Trak Rear Suspension (KP)

On city roads and the highway, Uni-Trak lever ratios and shock-damping settings provide a comfortable ride.

The cast aluminum swing arm’s rigidity and the right combination of flex work together to balance the frame’s rigidity for excellent handling. Preload, compression, and rebound damping can all be adjusted to the shove rear shock and the ride height.

Ninja Styling

The look is enhanced by a pair of LED headlights, each with high and low beams, as well as position lighting. LEDs also provide more bright traditional lights for more light at night.

The top lines and overlapping and interconnected sections give the tail a sharp, distinctive shape. An all-new LED taillight inspired by the Ninja ZX-10R offers a stylish aesthetic when viewed from behind. The new sporty design is enhanced with a muffler finishing treatment and end cap. Heel guards support the dynamic lines of the motorcycle.
