Lightweight Platform
A lightweight perimeter frame delivers optimised rigidity for stability at speed, while the short wheelbase enables agile handling. The high ground clearance lets riders more easily clear technical terrain features, enabling confident trail riding.
Soak Up the Trail
A 43mm inverted front fork improves stability and control, even on tough, rough terrain. The new fork settings take advantage of the long travel, with the help of a lower spring rate to enable damping to work over a wider stroke range.
Ride Any Trail
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle is built for serious play and features new long-travel suspension to handle the rigours of aggressive off-road riding confidently.

Bigger wheels. Bigger fun.
Large-diameter wheels, measuring 21 inches at the front and 18 inches at the rear, efficiently clear trail obstacles and boost trail-riding performance.
Confident Control
Full-size wheels and powerful new disc brakes make the 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle ready for tough off-road terrain.
Engine
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle features a flat-top piston and a pent-roof combustion chamber that delivers a power-enhancing 11.1:1 compression ratio. Furthermore, the lightweight piston, piston pin, and connecting rod allow high-rev power without excessive vibration.
Additionally, the piston skirt is designed to minimise contact with the cylinder wall, and wide connecting-rod big-end bearings enhance overall durability. Moreover, the new dual high-capacity radiators are similar to those used on Kawasaki KX motocross machines and offer outstanding cooling efficiency. The slim radiators feature the same tightly packed cores and fin design as the 2023 Kawasaki KX250.

4-Valve DOHC Cylinder Head (KP)
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle gives greater valve area for better flow, and it enhances low-end torque. The carefully designed 38.5° included valve angle keeps the head compact while using straighter, more efficient ports. The new cam profiles and intake port design help create a smooth, quick-revving engine character. The brand-new cam lobe for each valve, including shim-under tappets, has less reciprocating weight for efficiency at high rpm.
Nikasil-Plated Cylinder (KP)
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle comes with an incredibly hard coating in its aluminium cylinder bore to ensure superior heat transfer while reducing weight. The coating further holds lubrication well, resists abrasion and seizure, and allows tight piston-to-cylinder clearances for more horsepower.
Kawasaki DFI (KP) System
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R dirt motorcycle features a 34 mm throttle body that delivers accurate engine response for greater throttle control in tight trail situations.
It helps ensure stable fuel delivery regardless of changes in air temperature or altitude. It also supports easier starting, whether the engine is hot or cold, and cleaner emissions.
Electric Starter
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle comes with electric start for smooth starting. It also features DFI and a starter button for easy starting. The brand-new electric starter system and the Kawasaki Automatic Compression Release (KACR) (KP), which automatically lifts an exhaust valve at cranking RPM, make starting the KLX300R extremely easy better than 2023 Kawasaki KLX300R.

Gear Driven Engine Balancer (KP)
Thanks to the new balancer, the engine runs smoothly from idle to redline. This means more rider comfort and less fatigue on long, adventurous rides.
Digital Capacitor Discharge Ignition (CDI) (KP)
Now, riders need not worry about riding in harsh, tough conditions. The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle comes with a digital ECU system that precisely controls timing, no matter how quickly RPM changes. This ensures easy starts and reliability under extreme conditions.
U.S. Forest Service-Approved Spark Arrester
Thanks to the new U.S. Forest Service-approved spark arrester, you can access designated public riding areas.
Six-Speed Transmission
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle comes with a six-speed transmission that provides gears to tackle varied situations. Short final gearing complements the engine’s low-mid range focus, making riding on tight trails easier. The gearbox also ensures smooth shifting for better riding.
Frame
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle comes with a high-tensile steel perimeter frame built from box-section and tubular steel. It features a 26.9-degree steering head angle and a 56.5-inch wheelbase that helps with quick trail. The optimised frame rigidity supports excellent straight-line stability.

43mm Inverted Cartridge Fork
The fork settings feature a softer spring rate to help damping work over a wider stroke range for a better front-end feel. 20-way compression damping adjustment is standard. Moreover, the cartridge maintains more consistent damping force by reducing aeration of the fork oil.
Uni-Trak Rear Suspension
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle features a brand-new nitrogen-filled aluminium body, a remote-reservoir rear shock with 20-way compression and 18-way rebound damping adjustment, and an all-new stepless threaded spring pre-load. The new lightweight, extruded aluminium swingarm improves overall frame rigidity. The new D-shaped spars are extremely attractive, and the new KX-type chain adjusters make maintenance easy.
Front and Rear Disc Brakes
The new 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle features a twin-piston front calliper and a 270 mm front disc, the same size as on the Kawasaki KX250/450, for fantastic stopping power. The new single-piston rear calliper and an all-new 240mm disc come standard for strong, reliable performance.
Suspension
Also from the KX line, the new upper triple clamp offers two increasing positions for the reversible handlebar clamps, so the handlebar can be set to one of four positions with a 35 mm adjustment range. An all-new adjustable front brake lever position suits various hand sizes and preferences.
Rider Interface
Inspired by the KX line, the 2024 Kawasaki KLX300R Dirt Motorcycle’s seat-tank junction was designed to give the rider maximum freedom of movement and help them slide farther forward in turns. Flush seams between the shrouds, seat and side covers also provide freedom of movement and aid moving around on the bike. The new seat has a slip-resistant top for better grip and smooth sides for rider mobility.
