2024 Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Bike Review Specs Price

The strong performance of the 2024 Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Bike comes from its 1,084cc parallel-twin-cylinder engine, which delivers a rich character and a distinctive exhaust note. Supporting electronics include Honda Selectable Torque Control with integrated Wheelie Control, Cruise Control and three default riding modes, all managed through Throttle By Wire. High-quality components include 43mm cartridge-style front forks, piggyback rear shock absorbers and a four-piston radial-mount front brake calliper. The lighting system is fully LED, while instrumentation is displayed on a negative LCD screen.

The Rebel family’s journey began with the introduction of the 500cc CMX500 Rebel in 2017, which blended classic styling with modern thinking to appeal to riders who view motorcycles as an extension of lifestyle and identity. Its mix of timeless bobber design and contemporary styling helped it achieve strong popularity, becoming Europe’s best-selling custom-style motorcycle in both 2021 and 2022.

Building on that success, Honda introduced the CMX1100 Rebel in 2021. It retained the core appeal of the smaller model while adding greater performance, stronger character and advanced technology. With accessible design and a competitive price point, the CMX1100 Rebel offered a compelling step forward for a wide range of riders.

In 2023, the Rebel range expanded again with the introduction of the Rebel 1100 Touring, a purpose-built touring variant designed for long-distance riding. For 2024, the platform remains mechanically unchanged, though new colour options are introduced for both the standard model and the Touring version.

The 2024 Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Bike is designed with a dual character. It offers relaxed cruising capability while also delivering engaging performance on more dynamic roads. Riders moving up from smaller motorcycles will appreciate its manageable dimensions and low 700mm seat height, while experienced riders can enjoy the capable chassis, stiff tubular steel frame and strong braking performance.

At the heart of the bike is the 1,084cc parallel twin engine derived from the CRF1100L Africa Twin. It has been retuned for stronger low- and mid-range response, delivering a more pronounced exhaust character. Throttle By Wire brings advanced rider aids, including three preset riding modes that adjust power delivery, engine braking, Honda Selectable Torque Control with Wheelie Control, and shift behaviour for models equipped with the optional Dual Clutch Transmission. Cruise control is included as standard.

Styling remains intentionally minimal, reinforcing its bobber identity. Steel mudguards frame wide tyres, while a round LED headlight complements the negative LCD instrument display. A USB-C charging port is provided beneath the seat for modern convenience.

The Touring version adds a fork-mounted half-fairing for wind protection and hard panniers for long-distance practicality. These panniers offer a total carrying capacity of 35 litres, with 16 litres on the right and 19 litres on the left.

Styling & Equipment

The 2024 Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Bike’s blacked-out aesthetic reflects a clean and minimalist approach developed by Honda’s US-based R&D studio. The long, low profile is defined by a narrow body and a scalloped two-tone 13.6-litre fuel tank.

Front and rear mudguards are constructed from 1mm-thick steel and mounted with die-cast aluminium brackets. The 175mm headlight combines classic styling with modern LED technology, while compact 55mm indicators maintain a traditional appearance. A contemporary touch is provided by the oval LED taillight.

The seat offers a balance of support and comfort and can be configured for solo or two-up riding through a removable rear pad. Beneath the seat is a 3-litre storage compartment with a USB Type-C charging point.

A 120mm negative LCD instrument display provides clear information, while the ignition is positioned on the left side of the frame and also controls seat access. The handlebars are secured with substantial one-inch clamps and house controls for riding modes and optional DCT operation.

The Touring model includes a fork-mounted half fairing with a compact screen that enhances wind protection. Its integrated hard panniers blend seamlessly with the design and provide significantly more storage capacity than accessory soft luggage.

Engine

The 1,084cc SOHC eight-valve parallel twin produces 64 kW of power at 7,000 rpm and 98 Nm of torque at 4,750 rpm. A heavy flywheel increases inertia, delivering a strong low-rpm response with a distinctive character.

The engine’s compact design, achieved through the Unicam valvetrain and semi-dry sump layout, contributes to a low centre of gravity. A 270-degree crankshaft and uneven firing interval enhance its distinctive pulse, while revised valve timing and exhaust tuning provide a deeper exhaust note at lower rpm and a sharper tone as revs increase.

Throttle By Wire and PGM-FI fuel injection manage performance, with intake air supplied through a 7-litre airbox. The exhaust system produces a deep, low-frequency tone below 4,000 rpm and a more pronounced high-frequency sound at higher revs.

Internal design features such as biaxial balance shafts reduce vibration, while Linear Air Flow sensors support precise air-fuel mixture control to meet emissions standards.

Engine Electronics

Throttle By Wire manages engine output and the level of Honda Selectable Torque Control with integrated Wheelie Control. Three preset riding modes are available.

Standard mode balances power delivery, engine braking and traction control for relaxed everyday use while retaining strong performance at higher revs. Rain mode reduces power and braking while increasing traction control for improved stability in wet conditions. Sport mode sharpens power delivery and reduces traction control intervention for maximum performance. User mode allows customisation and automatically stores the selected settings.

Chassis

The tubular steel frame retains the 2024 Honda Rebel 1100 Touring Bike’s raw styling theme, with the fuel tank mounted above 35mm diameter main tubes. The swingarm measures 50.8mm in diameter and complements the engineered aesthetic.

Wheelbase is 1,520mm, with a 30-degree fork angle and 110mm trail to balance cruiser styling with stable handling. Wet weight is 223 kg for the manual version and 233 kg for the DCT variant, while the Touring model weighs 238 kg with manual transmission and 248 kg with DCT.

Seat height remains at 700mm, and the riding position is defined by mid-mounted footpegs and wide handlebars. The geometry allows lean angles of up to 35 degrees on either side.

The front suspension consists of cartridge-style forks with 43mm stanchions finished in titanium oxide coating. Twin rear shocks feature a 12.5mm rod and pressurised piggyback reservoirs, with both ends offering adjustable spring preload.

Braking is handled by a radial-mount monoblock four-piston front calliper acting on a 330mm floating disc, while the rear uses a single-piston calliper with a 256mm disc. Both are supported by ABS. Five-spoke cast aluminium wheels are fitted with wide tyres sized 130/70B18 at the front and 180/65B16 at the rear.
