Traveling in the Fast Lane for Sports
The length and distance of each journey are controlled by two factors: time and space. You can get more than every ride with BMW R 1250 RS. The Boxer engine’s 105 lb-ft torque and 136 horsepower will make you faster on your travel speed. Unique BMW ShiftCam technology provides more torque at the entire speed range, allowing you to reach a fantastic sprint in any riding situation. The redesigned front-fill LED headlamp gives a new, stylish look while aerodynamically against the wind or riding. This way, the rider can ride his bike fast and comfortably at any moment.
Ergonomics is Similar to Sports
The R 1250 RS is a motorcycle that combines sport with the ability to tour. The completely redesigned front, including the engine spoiler, highlights the overall look of the Sports Tourer. The harmonious configuration of the dual headlamps gives the R 1250 RS a balanced and modern look. The design of the handlebar enables sporty seating.
Full Throttle Ahead
The unique technology known as BMW Shift Cam allows you to accelerate at any speed. It is accomplished using a variable camshaft control system. Increasing to 136 hp provides more power, and with the increase to 1254 cc, the ability to perform another sprint in the high-speed lane.
Main Headlight in LED
BMW Motorrad has been a pioneer in motorcycle safety for decades. Due to its innovative power, the firm has rapidly established itself as a trend-setter. It will continue to reap new benefits in the future for motorcycle safety. The whole LED headlamp with integrated daytime riding light, introduced in the series development on the R 1200 GS, is the latest demonstration of BMW Motorrad’s outstanding capabilities in this field. As the only one of its kind in the world, this LED essential headlight illuminates the street with unparalleled light purity so far.
The LEDs used in high beam headlights are pretty different and have a higher intensity of light thanks to their two lenses. Additionally, optional accessories include a tail lamp, which, with its two bars, offers an even more rearview.
Depending on the configuration in the instrument cluster menu, there is an automatic transition between the riding light and the low beam headlamp during the day.
When the riding lights are turned on during the day, the biker is much more visible and, therefore, much safer. The charming appearance of the horizontal “U,” like the light circles on the K1600 models, is an indistinguishable element of the new GS.
The light unit has two LEDs for low and high beams, as well as four additional LEDs for daylight and position light. They are connected to the diecast aluminum heat sink in the center. There is an axial fan in front of the heat sink. Another air rectifier carries hot air to the window glass, which circulates the air in the headlamp. This air circulation helps melt the headlamp and actively contributes to de-icing the headlight lens in winter.
