The sculpted high-level exhaust, bench seat, upright commanding riding stance, and purposeful aesthetics round out its unique design and classic form.
Two Benchmark Setting New Scrambler 1200’s
The Triumph Scrambler 1200 lineup includes two all-new versions. The Scrambler 1200 XC, which is constructed for the road and actual off-road riding enjoyment, and the top-of-the-line Scrambler 1200 XE, which takes the specification to the next level and its off-road prowess and scrambling credentials to the absolute top of the motorcycle world.
The newest generation Bonneville High Power 1200cc engine powers new Scramblers, delivering category-leading torque and a dedicated scrambler tune.’ The 270° firing interval assures smooth, linear power delivery from the sleek six-speed gearbox.
The 1200 engine, which was developed mainly for the Scrambler, produces 90 PS @ 7,400 rpm, 12.5 percent more power than the 2020 Bonneville T120, and an impressive 38 percent more power than the 2019 Street Scrambler.
Furthermore, the Scrambler 1200 engine unit has been calibrated to offer ‘high torque’ off-road and on, low down and throughout the mid-range, with a peak torque of 110Nm at a low 3,950 rpm. It is also 37.5 percent more than the Street Scrambler.
A finely built dual high-level exhaust system with stainless steel headers and brushed stainless steel silencers delivers the Scrambler soundtrack for a deep, punchy scrambler sound.
The Scrambler 1200 engine, like all new generation Bonnevilles, combines superior contemporary classic capabilities with ride-by-wire, as well as a sensitively fitted liquid cooling system for better performance and cleaner, more fuel-efficient riding.
Both Scrambler 1200 versions have a 10,000 mile/16,000 km first major service interval.
Category Dominating Capability
The Scrambler 1200s take capabilities to the next level with a class-leading standard of rider-focused technology, including:
TFT instruments of the second generation Both versions have Triumph’s newest generation full-color TFT instruments, which have a beautiful look and two programmable information layout design themes. It contains a brand-new function that lets the rider change the message on the start-up screen to their name.
Up to six riding modes are available, including ‘Off-Road Pro.’ Both models have Road, Rain, Off-Road, Sport, and Rider-configurable riding modes that modify throttle response, ABS settings, and traction control settings to fit riders’ preferences and riding situations.
In addition to these five settings, the Scrambler 1200 XE has an ‘Off-Road Pro’ mode that provides our most off-road-oriented setup for expert adventure riding and scrambling. The ‘Off-Road Pro’ mode disables ABS and traction control while using the ‘Off-Road’ throttle map.
Optimized Cornering ABS – supported by an IMU (XE only)
The Optimised Cornering ABS is unique to the Scrambler XE and comes standard. It ensures that the braking performance remains optimal regardless of the lean angle. The Scrambler 1200 XC has switchable ABS, with three ABS settings selectable manually through the Rider-configurable riding mode.
Optimized Cornering Traction Control – supported by an IMU (XE only)
The Scrambler 1200 XE also comes standard with Optimised Cornering Traction Control, automatically adjusting the degree of traction control according to the riding circumstances. It maintains the appropriate traction control for the bike’s lean angle. Instead, the Scrambler XC has switchable traction control with five ride modes set manually through the Rider-configurable riding mode.
IMU – Inertial Measurement Unit (XE only)
An improved Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) developed in collaboration with Continental enables the optimal operation of the Scrambler 1200 XE’s Optimised Cornering ABS and Traction Control. It continuously measures roll, pitch, yaw, lean angle, and acceleration rates and responds with necessary active safety features.
All LED lighting with DRL headlight
Both Scrambler 1200 variants include complete LED illumination, including a 5-inch headlight, tail light with newer, more appealing diffused opacity details, and indicators (in applicable markets).
The headlamp also has LED Daytime Running Lights providing outstanding visibility and a unique light profile.
Backlit switches that are illuminated on both Scrambler versions are lighted by LEDs located within the switch cubes, which improves rider engagement and control by emitting a mellow glow in all lighting circumstances.
Clutch with torque assists Designed to minimize the rider’s clutch lever effort, delivering a lighter touch and feel to the grip and making it easier to ride for more extended periods.
Both Keyless entry and ignition come included with Triumph’s keyless ignition technology. The technology detects the proximity of the keyless fob and activates ignition through the start button positioned on the switch cube. For added security, the key’s wireless communication feature may be disabled with the press of a button.
Grips that are heated grips are standard on the Scrambler 1200 XE and offered as an option on the Scrambler 1200 XC. These are elegantly incorporated with a button on the left-hand grip that provides enhanced rider comfort and has two settings.
Controlling the cruise speed Both Scrambler variants come included with electronic cruise control. It is a single-button system installed in the switch cube on the left. For optimal convenience and safety, this function is conveniently accessible while riding.
Charging through USB, Both new Scramblers have a five-vault USB power outlet for charging personal electronics. It is built inside a new foam-lined storage box under the seat.
World’s first integrated GoPro control system
A first for any motorbike in the world – Triumph presents an integrated GoPro control system, which facilitates GoPro camera operation and is made possible via an accessory-fitted Bluetooth module.
The connection and control are shown on the TFT instruments, allowing for short video and picture operation through the switchgear.
Navigation system with turn-by-turn directions Another Triumph first includes an integrated turn-by-turn navigation system powered by GoogleTM — the company’s first motorcycle manufacturer collaboration. The navigation system is aided with an additional Bluetooth communication module. Once the user has chosen the route on the Triumph app and started the bike, the instruments display turn symbols on the screen in simple visual icons. The rider gets access to a navigation system, a route planner, their ultimate destination, and sites of interest such as motels, gas stations, and restaurants using this system.
Riders may get the all-new Triumph app for iOS and Android phones for free, including the linked navigation feature. The rider controls the navigation, route planner, end destination, and places of interest (hotels, gasoline, restaurants, etc.) using this app.
Integrated phone and music operation
The new Scrambler 1200s include complete Bluetooth phone integration, a clear display on the color TFT instruments, and easy phone operation through the switchgear, letting the rider pick music, manage volume, and answer calls. It is made possible via a Bluetooth module installed as an accessory.
