KTM 2022 300 XC-W TPI Erzbergrodeo Off-Roader – Features and Specs
Engine & Exhaust
The exhaust plays a significant role and has a powerful impact on power delivery and performance. The 250 cc and 300 cc versions are equipped with HD exhaust pipes (heavy-duty), which are created utilizing a cutting-edge 3D stamping method to give the surface a ribbed finish. As a result, the pipe is much stronger and has improved resistance to pebbles. It also significantly lowers noise. The silencer is attached using an aluminum mounting bracket and has a compact form and end cap with internal designs specifically created for each model. The exhaust’s design also offers sleek ergonomics and increased ground clearance, and a perforated inner silencer tube collaborates with a lighter dampening substance for effective and long-lasting noise reduction.
The KTM 300 cc 2-stroke engine, a legend in and of itself, has long been a favorite for enduro equipment. Its excellent power, low-down torque, and overall small weight are partly responsible for this. Modern engineering, a creative 2-stroke design, and ground-breaking TPI fuel injection technology have all contributed to the powerplant’s development into a thoroughly polished unit.
The DDS clutch (damped diaphragm steel), designed by KTM, is used on the KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO. It has a wear-free steel basket, heat-resistant clutch plates, and nitrated steel liners. The ingenious design makes the clutch motion simpler using a diaphragm spring rather than the traditional coil springs. Additionally, a diaphragm spring allows enough room for the clutch hub to include a dampening device. Traction is desired, but durability must not be sacrificed. This hydraulic Brembo clutch comes with the standard light operation and ‘telepathic’ level control. This model also has clutch slave cylinder protection.
Due to specifically shaped intake snorkels, the easy-access airbox on the KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO ensures ideal flow dynamics. By forcing air into the powerful engine, the perfect balance of power and throttle responsiveness is easily achieved. An all-new sizable Twin-Air air filter is used to maintain pure air, and it is attached to a strong cage for constant and optimal positioning.
All KTM XC-W models have cutting-edge, light Chromoly steel frames with race-derived geometry, ideal stiffness, and unmatched rider input. It results in a handling style that is lively and remarkably stable at speed. The subframe, which weighs less than 2 pounds and is comprised of very light and exceptionally robust aluminum profiles, ensures the longevity and stability of the rear fender in the case of a loop-out.
The KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO edition has factory wheels that have been expertly CNC machined and have anodized orange hubs. These new wheels not only look the part, but they also save weight. And with a pair of Dunlop Geomax AT81 rubber, even the trickiest, slickest situations are handled quickly.
The suspension on all KTM XC-W models has been updated for 2022, with a more substantial factory setting emphasizing performance and increased consistency across all terrains.
The newest WP XPLOR upside-down forks, measuring 48 mm in diameter, are installed on the KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO. These have received a minor change for 2022, including improved, stiffer factory settings that are performance-focused, as well as new slots in its outer fork tube that feed more oil to the bushes and lower friction and heat buildup. A polished surface finish has also been added to the fork springs, which increases wear resistance and uniformity. Rebound damping performance has also been improved by a new valve design. With the compression damping on the left and rebound on the right, the forks may still be adjusted. Additionally, the ERZBERGRODEO edition has triple clamps that were CNC-machined to work flawlessly with the WP XPLOR fork.
The race-tested and completely adjustable WP XPLOR shock absorber has been fine-tuned, with new conical bushing between the locations to increase bottoming reserves and more robust factory settings. The PDS rear suspension design has advanced in its pursuit of podiums due to less fade and better wear.
These cutting-edge Brembo brakes are paired with lightweight wave brake discs, including a solid disc on the back, for optimum feel and maximum stopping force. They were designed to handle the steep downhill slopes at the Iron Giant. Additional brake protection is also offered by the KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO edition, which comes standard with front and rears brake-disc guards and a rear brake safety wire.
A 14-turn bayonet-style filling cap and lightweight polyethylene tank are standard equipment on all KTM enduro models, allowing for fast and straightforward operation. The integrated fuel pump ensures direct fuel delivery to the injectors, and a 90-degree connection offers protection from harm. Riders can quickly and quickly determine the gasoline level in the tank thanks to the use of see-through plastic in its construction.
Ergonomics & Comfort
This sturdy seat gives excellent comfort and is designed to fulfill the requirements of the world’s quickest backsides. It will enable you to conquer the most challenging terrain all day long.
All KTM XC-W models have NEKEN adjustable, high-strength tapered aluminum handlebars. There are four distinct mounting locations for them, and your primary concern is holding on and letting go. The standard grip is an ODI lock-on grip on the left and an ODI vulcanized grip on the right. A handlebar map choice switch is also included with the KTM 300 XC-W TPI ERZBERGRODEO, allowing you to choose between a primary and sophisticated power curve.
Bodywork & Graphics
Even while digging in deep ruts, sophisticated “No-Dirt” footpegs keep the pegs from being clogged. Ground clearance is improved by the Enduro versions’ pegs, which are 6 mm taller than those on SX models. However, you have the option to switch them at any time.
Software & Electronics
Every engine has a tried-and-true electric starter, which is a massive advantage for any off-road activity. It has a 2 Ah lithium-ion starter battery that is very light and offers a safe, dependable starting. Most of the electrical parts are carefully positioned in a standard location below the seat by the wire harness, making them more reliable and accessible.
