2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike – Features and Specs
Easy Suspension Adjustment
Get dialled in! The 2024 KTM SX range features 100% tool-free suspension setup on both sides. The shock absorber design with hand-adjustable dual compression control enables riders to fine-tune their high- and low-speed controls in seconds. The front-end forks can also be easily adjusted via a single air-pressure preload valve and click-adjustable compression/rebound. We will even include the air pump!

Airbox
The air filter box is designed for optimal ventilation and features precisely positioned inlet ducts to prevent airflow deformation and protect the filter. The Twin Air filter and air filter support design features a simple, fail-proof mounting system for secure, accurate filter installation, ensuring the air filter is easily accessed without tools by removing the left side panel for easy track-side maintenance. All SX and SX-F models also come with a vented air filter box cover.
Serviceability
The 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike is designed and engineered for easy access to service parts and suspension adjustability. This lets you maintain the bike faster during the track season and off-season, and it also lets novice motocross riders ride without a pit crew like in 2023 KTM 250 SX-F.
More Usable Power
Launch control, ENGAGED! The 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike is ready for the hole shot, with launch control and a Quick Shifter that lets you upshift quickly without clutching. You can easily engage launch control by pressing the traction control and Quick Shifter buttons at the same time; it limits rear-wheel power to improve traction and prevent loss of control under hard acceleration. The Quick Shifter, meanwhile, lets you shift from 2nd to 5th gear for the first corner without taking your eyes off the corner.

Launch Control & Quick Shifter
Launch control, ENGAGED! The 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike is designed for the holeshot, and includes launch control and a Quick shifter function for rapid upshifts, without clutch engagement. Press the traction control and Quick Shifter buttons together to engage launch control; it restricts rear-wheel power to increase traction and prevent loss of control during hard acceleration. In that case, Quick Shifter lets you shift from 2nd to 5th while keeping your focus on the first corner.

Selectable Maps + TC
The map-select switch on the 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike is simpler and easier to operate, making it easier to switch between 2 engine maps. Map 1 gives you a more linear power curve, while map 2 delivers all-out throttle and explosive power. The traction control feature switches between on and off modes with the same switch, giving you the most grip when you need it and a significant advantage in wet or muddy conditions.
Absolute Control
The longitudinally stiff frame design shifts rotating mass closer to the centre of gravity, so you’ll feel confident on track. The shock mounting also offers enhanced anti-squat for better traction on the corners, and the footpeg mounting position has moved inwards, reducing the risk of hooking up in deep ruts or on scrubbing jumps.
Ergonomics
The rider triangle offers plenty of knee contact, particularly when standing on the pegs, for solid grip. In wet and muddy conditions, the plastics are engineered to shed mud build-up, and the flat-seated profile and high-grip seat cover offer superb rider movement and control. The polyamide-reinforced aluminium subframe provides additional driver feel and feedback.

Performance
The front sprocket has been moved 3 mm lower, tilting the 2023 KTM 250 SX-F engine 2 ° back. That’s all that: with an 8 mm drop in engine height, this greatly improves mass centralisation and reduces overall weight, benefiting handling and anti-squat behaviour.
Mass Centralization
OK, are you itching to get torn off? In addition to mass centralisation and overall reduced weight, the chassis’s anti-squat activity is also much better after the steel-frame concept modification. Simply put, the 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike delivers optimum power output when it comes out of corners.
WP XACT Fork
The 48mm air-type WP XACT front fork features a split-damping system for confident riding. Fork legs with hydro stops offer better bottoming-out protection and less bounce off the ground when landing on a big jump, bump, or thump. Redesigned fork protection rings also offer more protection against dirt, so they’re as awesome as they are reliable.
Stability
A repositioned, forged steering head connection and CNC-milled triple clamps make the 2024 KTM 250 SX-F Dirt Bike rock solid at any speed. High-quality aluminium construction, optimised steering-stem stiffness, perfectly aligned fork tubes, and precise steer-clamp geometry deliver highly responsive, smooth fork action, and, of course, uncompromising stability when charging over ruts and up onto the podium.
Energy absorption
It has precisely computed longitudinal and torsional flex characteristics, plus a perfectly constructed, hydro-formed, laser-cut, robot-welded frame built to deliver outstanding rider input and straight-line stability. This means the frame acts like a “shock absorber,” resulting in a less taxing ride and less rider fatigue over several challenging laps.
Ground clearance
A terrible hook-up is not enjoyable for anyone. Fortunately, the 2024 KTM 250 SX-F’s frame and shock absorber geometry increase the linkage’s ground clearance. Its topology-optimised die-cast footpegs are less likely to snag in deep ruts and get kicked up during scrubbing.
Consistency
With low-friction SKF linkage seals and sophisticated damping, a WP XACT shock absorber offers unparalleled consistency lap after lap in traction and energy absorption.
