Electronic Fuel Injection
Pre-mix is being replaced in the 2-stroke KTM SX range, and it’s all electronic fuel injection. With the Keihin EFI and reed valve case design, you won’t need complicated jetting before the race, and you can be sure you are laying down optimal power at any altitude, all the time.
Electric Start
Picture this: You’re 7 laps into an absolute ripper of a race. You lose a line then get stuck in a big hole. However, you’re not worried about it. Just push the start button, and you’re back out to take the last flag—the truth about the 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike. Thanks to a 12.8V 2 Ah lithium-ion battery placed under the rider’s seat, a high-quality stator & pickup, and a super-robust design, the only thing you’ll be kicking is ass.

EFI + Power Valve
EFI brings with it good rideability. In addition to e-fuel injection, the 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike also features a new electronic Power Valve, which lets the engine deliver power over a wider rev range. Smoother power = better traction. More grip – holeshot heaven!
Performance
The 300 cc 2-stroke powerhouse adds a new weapon to the MX Open category and gives racers more choice for maximum power at minimal weight. The 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike offers low maintenance and pure performance. And then some.
Selectable Maps
The 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike has a map-select switch that lets the racer swap between 2 engine maps. Map 1 offers linear, predictable cranking power delivery, while Map 2 delivers the full beans with crisp, explosive power better than 2023 KTM 300 SX.
Absolute Control
Whether you’re tackling a tricky section or want total confidence, the track has been designed for longitudinal rigidity and to move rotating mass closer to the centre of gravity. The shock mounting also has improved anti-squat properties that will increase traction when coming out of corners, and the footpeg mounting position has been shifted inwards to reduce the risk of hooking up in deep ruts or when jumping over heaps of grass.

Ergonomics
The rider triangle provides ample knee contact, especially when standing on the pegs, ensuring grip all around. Plastics keep mud from building up in wet and muddy conditions, and a flat seat profile and high-grip seat cover offer superior rider movement and control. Further improving rider feel and feedback is the polyamide-reinforced aluminium subframe.
Mass Centralization
The 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike engine focuses on mass centralisation, which, paired with the chassis, delivers the best results. This gives the rider a lighter, more agile ride, helping them run the rest of the pack.
Traction
Don’t want to pull my arms out of their sockets? With the chassis’s power-down capability and anti-squat behaviour, the 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike delivers the perfect power-down when exiting corners.
WP XACT Fork
48mm air-type WP XACT front fork with split damping function gives you the confidence you need to take on the track. The hydrostops in the fork legs help prevent bottoming out and reduce rebound on large jumps, bumps, and thumps. Also, redesigned fork protection rings provide more protection from dirt and are more reliable than ever.

Stability
The 2024 KTM 300 SX Dirt Bike is rock-solid at any speed thanks to the forged steering head connection and CNC-milled triple clamps. Made from high-grade aluminium, they offer optimally tuned steering-stem stiffness, perfect fork-tube alignment, and precise fork-clamp geometry for highly responsive, smooth fork action and unshakable stability when charging up and down ruts and onto the podium.
Energy absorption
In addition to the hydro-formed, laser-cut, and robot-welded frame, expertly crafted to deliver superb rider feel and straight-line stability, it also features precisely calculated longitudinal and torsional flex parameters. This also means it’s a “shock absorber,” so to speak, making the ride less bouncy and reducing rider fatigue over many hard laps.
Ground clearance
The frame and shock absorber geometry improve linkage ground clearance and work with topology-optimised die-cast footpegs that are less likely to hook in deep ruts and take off when scrubbing.
Consistency
Low-friction SKF linkage seals and advanced damping ensure maximum consistency lap after lap from a WP XACT shock absorber, delivering unsurpassed traction and energy absorption.
