The Ducati Design Center has developed the Monster 797 with the dynamic flair that embodies everything the Monster is about. The thing that makes it so exciting and different is the tank that is Monster through and through. Stylish yet beefy. The round headlights catch the sight of others, plus it enhanced the overall beauty of this naked bike.
The frame of the Monster 797 Plus is a real design feature that returns to its single-piece origins, from steering head (front section) to the tail. It includes the traditional tubular grab rails for a passenger. One can also notice the same thing in air-cooled twin-cylinder Desmodue engine, the new cooling fins recalling the spirit of the first generation Ducati Monster bike. This naked bike combines traditional elements with ultra-modern components. It also contains LCD instrumentation, LED side light and tail light plus the new switch gears.
The chassis featuring Trellis frame is not only lightweight but also contains sporty cast aluminum twin-sided swingarm twin-sided swingarm with laterally attached shock absorber. The triangular swingarm reminds the great history of Ducati Monster.
The Ducati Monster 797 Plus comes with an air-cooled 803 cm3 Desmodue L-twin engine. This Euro 4 engine is capable of delivering 75 hp at 8,250 rpm, and it has the maximum torque of 69 Nm (50.8 lb-ft) at 5,750 rpm. The bore and stroke measurements of 88 mm and 66 mm respectively has been designed to give pure Ducati riding a pleasure. The twin-cylinder engine contains the single 50 mm throttle body with two sub-butterfly injectors. This modification guarantee to have an excellent fluid power delivery and accurate control of the fuel mix aspirated into the cylinders.
The 2-in-1 exhaust has been designed carefully to ensure better fluid dynamics and excellent heat protection for both rider and passenger. The gearbox consists up of the six-speed unit, while the APTC wire-controlled wet multi-plate clutch ensures light lever action and an additional advantage of excellent responsiveness. Moreover, the clutch contains the servo-assisted slipper function that limits the rear wheel de-stabilization during down-shifting. It is designed to be simple and reliable that offers the competitive 12,000 km of maintenance intervals.
This beautifully made Monster 797 features a traditional tubular Ducati Trellis frame. Its structure is one of the best structures in the world. So rigid and light plus it gives a full view. This frame matches the cast aluminum double-sided swingarm to perfection plus its compact 1,435 mm wheelbase ensure to provide outstanding agility and stability at speed. The fuel tank has the capacity of 16.5 liters that offers the monster look even more amazing than 2018 Ducati Monster 797 Naked Bike. The low seat with just a height of 805 mm, wide handlebars and the generous steering lock offers excellent maneuverability at low speed.
The Monster 797 comes with with a 43 mm Kayaba fork with the wheel travel of 130 mm. The suspension contains Sachs shock absorber. It has adjustable spring preload and rebound damping. They are mounted on the left side of the bike and connected to the frame and swingarm. The best thing about it is that it doesn’t raise the rating linkage. Rear-Wheel travel is about 150 mm.
Tires and wheels
The 2018 Monster 797 Plus mounts light 10-spoke alloy wheels. Pirelli Diablo Rosso II dual-compound tires combine mileage-enhancing durability. These tires have such constant and robust grip with the specifications of 120/70 ZR17 at the front while 180/55 ZR17 at the rear.
The 2018 Ducati Monster 797 Plus mounts a Brembo braking system containing Bosch 9.1 MP ABS with an internal pressure sensor. To optimize the braking performance and to maximize the safety at the front section, this Ducati Naked Bike contains twin Brembo M4.32 4-piston Monobloc calipers. These calipers hold discs of 320 mm and an all-new axial-pump brake lever with an incorporated fluid reservoir. The rear section consists up of 245 mm disc with Brembo caliper like the front brake. It contains an enhanced-efficiency sintered brake pads. This fantastic feature has always been a Ducati hallmark because it makes the Ducati 2018 Monster 797 Plus Naked Street Bike so different.
The Ducati 2018 Monster 797 Plus instrument panel consists of a large LCD screen that provides all the essential primary and secondary information. It gives info about rpm, speed, total distance covered, engine oil temperature, and a clock.

Headlight and indicators
The new Ducati 2018 Monster 797 mounts a headlight with LED sidelight. The Monster 797 also comes with hazard warning lights. This function is also available on the Monster 797. It’s so easy to activate it. All you got to do is press the dedicated indicator switch.
